The National Post, Canada

Eatmecrunchy featured in saturday's National Post, that's a Canadian newspaper for all you non-canadians. To read their review click here. Here's a quote:

"How this invention went from idea to prototype is anyone's guess. Maybe one morning the creator stared into his milk-soaked cornflakes and suddenly had an epiphany: Soggy cereal sucks"

For all of you who are wondering if they are right? Well pretty much. At Gray Matter we invent products so when we see a need we try to fill it. In eatmecrunchy's case, it was a bit more personal!

Americans rejoice with EatMeCrunchy

A quote from the lifelounge...

"Apparently 70% of us like to eat our cereal crunchy. Also 49.2% of statistics are made up on the spot. Which also could mean that I am 21% more likely to be punched after this post goes live... Anyhow enough of my mostly useless rant. Gray Matter have invented a cereal bowl that protects 70% of the cereal to keep it dry until you choose to get it moist. "

Eatmecrunchy nominated for nobel prize...

Mac website Macworld have reviewed eatmecrunchy... here's what they said...

"There are a lot of tragedies in the world: underfunded education, rising energy costs, and the preponderance of reality television. But among the worst problems confronted by every man, woman, and child is the all-too serious issue of cereal that gets soggy in milk. Yes, even after the development of the so-called Crispix Matrix Technology, sogginess is still a very real predicament for cereal-lovers everywhere.

And so, my nomination for the Nobel Prize in Physics—never mind those spintronics guys—the inventors of the eatmecrunchy bowl. The clever engineering secret behind the bowl involves a revolutionary shelf that covers roughly 70 percent of the bowl’s base. Pour your cereal of choice—I'm a Cheerios traditionalist—and milk into the bowl. The milk filters down into the bottom compartment, keeping the two separated and letting you decide your own rate of cereal-milk mixture. That’s right: the eatmecrunchy bowl puts control of breakfast back into your hands."

To the Carribean...

We loved the comment on cracked.com we've put it all here, needless to say we aint in the Carribean...yet!

Great - Some Guy Who Isn’t Me Just Made A Billion Dollars

Thomas Edison once said that “Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.” Well guess what, Edison? Some dude just invented a bowl that can keep your cereal crunchy and he probably never broke a sweat. That’s all you need these days to make a fortune: oddly-shaped plastic. Just look at the spork, or those things they stick in pizzas to keep the box from falling into the cheese. Piece of cake!

A bowl that keeps cereal crunchy? Pfft. I could’ve thought of that. Now this guy beat us all to the punch, and now him and his fancy little plastic bowl are going to be hanging out with the spork guy, the plastic-pizza-box-thing guy and a whole bunch of other billionaires on a Carribean beach somewhere for the rest of his life. They’ll be riding jet skis and drinking diamond juice out of human skulls and laughing, laughing at all the miserable saps who can’t come up with any good ideas of their own.

eatmecrunchy has been featured on boingboing.net - a directory of wonderful things... They describe how is works quite beautifully:

"The eatmecrunchy cereal bowl uses a milk reservoir system to expose only a small part of the cereal to milk at any one time, which means that most of the cereal stays high, dry, and crunchy throughout the meal."
